The timeline and point-in-time view answer two related questions.
Timeline: what changed, and when?
Use the timeline to see events, spans, and approved changes in order. It keeps the project’s chronology visible while you inspect what changed.
Snapshot: what was true then?
A snapshot, or point-in-time view, answers: what was true at this time? Chronal Engine works out which facts, knowledge records, and relationships applied then, and Chronal Studio presents the result for inspection.
Compare two moments
Snapshot comparison highlights meaningful differences between two dates. The underlying history remains intact, so a current fact does not erase the records that came before it.
A useful workflow is to find a transition in the timeline, open snapshots just before and after it, then compare those moments to isolate the change.
